Privacy

Placeholder — not the published policy. The previous policy lived at odessasoftware.com/privacy-policy, a domain that no longer resolves, so the game has had no reachable privacy policy for some time. The content of the replacement is the owner's decision and is not something a port can write on their behalf. What follows is a factual inventory of what this client actually does, to be used as the input to that policy rather than as the policy itself.

What this client stores on your device

• The last username you used, in localStorage, so the name field is filled in when you come back. That is the only thing stored.
• Your login session is held in memory only. It is not written to localStorage or to a cookie, and it is gone when you close the tab. The previous client stored a password-derived hash in localStorage and logged in with it; that has been removed.
• No passwords are stored or processed on your device.

What is sent to the server

• While playing: your ship's position, facing, shots and ability use.
• If you log in: your username and password, over an encrypted connection.
• Your IP address, as with any website you connect to.

What this client does not do

• No analytics, telemetry or tracking of any kind.
• No advertising, and no ad-network scripts.
• No third-party requests. Everything loads from this origin.
• No cookies.
